Boulder's Future - opportunities and threats!

This month’s topics include:
Boulder’s Future and the Impact on Restaurants!
Plus – make sure you are compliant with state laws – an update from the President & CEO! What you don’t know – will hurt you.
Networking/Happy Hour to follow.

Jennifer Pinsonneault, Business Liaison with the City of Boulder, Community Vitality will give an overview of some of the changes to expect in Boulder in the next 1-5 years and how they may impact your restaurant. Topics include:  
  • Boulder's retail strategy (including restaurants) that will start with downtown and expand citywide
  • Future development – 30th & Pearl, Gunbarrel, East Arapahoe and more 
  • Energy efficiency programs 
  • Compost & recycling programs and opportunities 
  • Tourism promotion and outlook

We will also discuss opportunities for the restaurant community to get involved with the city, give feedback, and have an impact on Boulder’s future. Mary Ann Mahoney with the Boulder CVB will co-present and will give input from a tourism and small business perspective, including what they are doing to increase visitation.

Note: The City of Boulder established its Economic Vitality program to reinforce the importance of economic health to our overall quality of life, and to demonstrate the city's strong support of business and economic sustainability.

CRA Government Affairs Update: CRA President & CEO will also give a government affairs update to include state and local issues. She will address anticipated state legislation for 2018 and what restaurants need to be aware of. She will also give an overview of recent compliance issues that you need to be aware of.
